exactly. if you want I can print out a sheet of paper ranking the hands. One cardnial rule is you MUST call your hand. ie - you see a full house and call a full house when we all see a royal flush - then you play with a full house.

Also a buddy of mine has a folder of a bunch of diffrent games. I mostly like to play texas hold'em

Here is an idea, lets decide on an amount. $5, $7, $10. If there are 5 of us coming, lets ask Chris or Matt to put together a frag pack of 5 frags. I'm thinking easy to keep stuff (low light ok, beginner friendly?- maybe 3 and the other 2 something else?) Maybe we can make a list of possibilities? One person can go pick them up and bring them to the gathering. That way we don't buy the same thing as the guy that just left the store an hour before.

I'm off this coming weekend, but sunday is better for me,. The next week end that I'll be available will be the 29th and 30th, but during the week is also good for me, most times. Maybe bring burgers to grill?

Maybe some people in Pensacola will try the same basic thing. (hint hint) If ours goes well, and they do the same thing and theirs goes well, then our top winners can play their top winners for some extra frags we can buy or some nicer frags or something. Or we can plan on doing the same thing again another time and then go for the

Ft Walton area vs P-cola area...... Hmmmmm...... mini meetings and a little compitition

How does this sound?

Grilling sounds good, I have that grill right there on the back porch you guys are welcome to use to make up some food.

I like the idea of the frag pack.

I ride a bicycle(it's a comp Trek. not just for joy riding!). Never competed in anything but love the riding. I'm that guy you see with the spandex suit riding down that busy highway in rush hour traffic you have to ease around but really want to run over. Yeah, that's me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also play soccer. I did play on a league but now just for fun every Fri night at a sports complex down the street.

I do love me some Hold em' though. Aces are definitely over rated!

Also, LOVE those pens. I would like one or two of them. LMK what I need to do to get a couple.

I've been wanting to try RC plane flying for years, and yesterday I finally got my first little plane. Soon I'll get to find out if it's all I ever dreamed. LOL

My other hobbies are writing scripts for little movies that my friends then go and make, designing new board & roleplaying games, painting, and woodworking. I don't make pens like Railrider, though. I make things like lawn & garden ornaments, birdhouses, and odd furniture for odd applications. I used to make plywood fishtanks, too. My next big project is the design & construction of a new, completely enclosing yet still highly ventilated, ULTIMATE stand/canopy for a 75-gal tank that gives plenty of room and access for everything you could ever want while making the whole display look like a piece of fine furniture instead of like an aquarium. It will be considerably bigger than a normal 75 setup, and look like a big box with a big picture-frame oval window in the front. If it works it should be very marketable, finally giving americans a chance to make their tanks look like the European ones they see in books. I designed it out of frustration over the unsightliness of the equipment ruining otherwise good displays.

I'm also a collector of various things like rocks and stamps and comics and fish-related books and magazines. Yep; I'm a geek. I even built this computer from loose parts.

U neekreef, I sent you a PM about the pens.

YiNYaNg, man those RC plans are cool as crap. How fast will they fly? is there a way to scale up the speed they will go to compare them to the real thing (on paper)? I have thought about trying RC planes sometime, but they are a bit too expensive for me. We have a field out here just north of Niceville on 285 at one of the sites on the reservation. If you ever come out here for a compition or something, let me know, I'd like to see those things.

OldSalt,

So are we going to see any of your movies in the theaters? Or maybe even online? That would be fun to do. How about some pictures of the tank you are working on. can we see it yet? So you collect rocks and comics. Let me know what types you are into. I have some from the early 90's that I was collecting. maybe we can do some trading if I have anything you want.

HAve you ever seen rocks like these posted below? I dug them up just north of Milton. I brought home a bunch of them, I just don't remember where they are. I was told the name of them, but I don't remember what it is. I cleaned some up and cleaned out the hole. I even cut one up a little to see the inside a little better. If you happen to know what they are, do you know if they are worth anything?

The EDF jet I ordered goes about 95mph and the highly modified ones goes about 170mph. The fastest rc jet I remember was over 300mph and that was a mini turbine engine rc jet. The turbine engine ones are fun but when it crashes from signal glitch or pilot error or etc... (even the professionals crash theirs) that's at least 3k-35k gone. That's the reason I stick with EDF since if it does crash I can brush it off and get another one. Anything over 70mph is more about speed addiction and can't do fun flying maneuvers going so fast. Real fighter jets can't do close dogfighting maneuvers doing Mach 2 which also applys to scaled down rc aircraft.

Railrider, those rocks are Iron Geodes commonly called "Indian Paint Pots."

They're fairly common around here where there is so much red clay.

You probably noticed that they are full of colored powder, usually reddish-brown, but it also comes in brighter red, orange, yellow, blue, green, brown, tan, black, and even purple! The color depends on the balance of minerals present at the time the rocks formed. Instead of hard crystal amythyst, you get purple powder, for example, and copper makes green, etc.. Some truly huge specimens can have several powder deposits in them, often with different colors. Yes, you can mix that powder with fish or veggie oil to make crude paint, which apparently is exactly what the indians did, hence the name.

Really, really good ones can be worth a bundle, but most of them aren't worth much of anything, at least down here where they occur the most. Some guy in Seattle would think they were worth a lot more than a guy in Georgia, especially if they had colors other than the common red-brown.

The guys who make the flicks do put them on Youtube, but they ruin them beyond recognition and I'm too ashamed to admit I ever had anything to do with them. We're working on that, though. These guys work in a movie theatre for a small theatre chain, so eventually the plan is to get some of the good stuff up onscreen before the previews.
