Bio pellet reactor

Recommended Posts

I've used BRS biopellets in both their reactor and a Phosban 150. Works great for reducing nitrates, but both get clogged easily and require maintenance. It's important to use filter socks when running a reactor down in your sump, to keep the foam prefilter (somewhat) free of debris. Also, you want the reactor's output to be near your skimmer's input and expect more waste to be exported into the collection cup.
