Vote Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is election day and you need to get out there and vote!!!! I won't tell you how to vote, but tell you to look at each candidate and issue closely.

Well I take that back. Vote NO on 1. all the adds are misleading. A yes vote will crush solar. The power companies want to quit paying individuals for the excess power they generate. That is their idea to "stop the public from subsidizing solar"

I already voted and voted No on that as well, but it was more of an issue of being unsure and figured little harm done if it fails and something else can be introduced later and worded better.  Reading piles of articles and references though I'm not sold on the wording of no subsidies means they can refuse to buy back.  It would still need approval from regulators and if abused could be corrected legislatively.  Arizona power companies are trying it, but still not something they can just "do" outright.

I do wish they would pass something allowing third party leasing with sale backs though.  Right now we can lease, or own, but can only sell back if owned.  I don't think I'll be in the house long enough for the ROI buying, but I'd certainly lease if I could and it came with some return.

Looks like it's coming up short anyway though and they can get something else for next time.

You have a lot more faith in regulators and the legislation than I do.

the ideal 3rd party situation would be for them to put it on your property then they power company sends the bill/payment to the 3rd party, then the 3rd party gives you the monthly rebate or asks for the monthly lease payment. But that will never happen.
