Help Needed! Moving 560G Reef - You Will Be Rewarded!

Recommended Posts

Okay looking at moving the 560g to the store this weekend.  I'll break it down and get rock/corals moved Saturday to the store systems.  Could use one or two people Saturday.

Sunday we move the tank and stand.  At 32" tall the tank just fits through the door to the garage, and on furniture dolleys, it will not be too bad. Though getting it off the stand and onto it's side will take 6 to 8 people.  The stand will not fit so I will take the sliding doors off the frame, plus half the frame to get it out onto the Florida room. We then have to remove the screen from a larger 48" window and pass the stand through to another group of folks outside, 4' below.  STand weights about 250 pounds, maybe more.  Actually harder to move than the tank.

I will have sumps, skimmers, dosers, ATO, Reef Keeper etc.. all moved Saturday night or early SUnday morning.

All volunteers will be fed nicely, provided with refreshments, beer if over 21.  Also all volunteers will get 2 coupons for the new store.  One 10% off your entire order coupon.  And one "Item at cost" coupon.  Save the item at cost coupon for something big like a skimmer or new tank.

I can also provide helpers with a couple frags, once the tank is settled in.

For those willing to help, here is the plan. Meet at the new store Saturday at 2pm to move corals. House is 4 miles away. Figure a few cars/trucks and some buckets/coolers. Sunday meet at the store at noon, then move the tank and stand in my truck and trailer. I'll provide food and drinks both days. Need more folks on Sunday.

Just a few of the buckets of corals that came out of Mike and Collette's tank.

You know 560g is a BIG tank.
