Cool, i didn't know we had any pistol shrimp around here. Which grass beds? Could you throw a quarter down beside it to show how big.

Got him off the beds at shoreline park. He is probably an inch long. And he's in the tank now so I can t get him out, it's cool to hear him snap at the blennies.

I'll have to check out Shoreline Park in GB. I've been to the grass beds at Big Lagoon State Park and gotten some cool little gobies(kinda look like they're a real close relation to the genus Amblyeleotris or Cryptocentrus), itty bitty pipefish, and ghost shrimp. There is an interesting little land crab over at Needle Grass Point State Park and some hermits but not much else that I could find, but didn't look too hard.

I've also been wanting to check out what might be at the Project Green Shores there along Bay Front Parkway in P'cola. And what might be at the Navarre Reef. Oh heck a bunch of places. lol

I love exploring our areas. Yesterday visibility was great at shoreline with the slightest wind from the north. It was the most clear as I've seen. A big moccasin was back in the stream area so I chose not look for fiddlers and snails. Park west visibility was typical but all the urchins are gone and algae covers the reef down there. There was still some great things to see.

The pistol shrimp was about an inch. Sea slugs between a half inch up to two inches. The shrimp was heard a couple days after putting him in the tank but I think he may have been consumed by now. I don't keep the slugs for long.
