What could be wrong with my six line? Thought he was just constipated but now I think it might be something else. He has very slowly gotten like this

Can you catch him for treatment?  I wouldn't say chances were good either way for survivability.  Prazipro is the internal worm treatment I know of.  it is reef safe but no skimmer (it would foam over like crazy)  and can not be used with ammonia in the system or ammonia blockers like prime.  Treatment is 3 days,  only one dose.  after 3 days the majority of the medication has broken down and is inert.  You can restart the skimmer at that point but it might still be a bit foamy

You can use prazi pro with prime with no problem I do all the time with my freshwaterand woth saltwater also ..... How's the breathing on the 6 line? If it is rapid just a matter of time Imo ...

All the warnings say not to so I stick with that. I have seen others say they had no issue as well but the warning is still in the documentation. If the tank is established then it's really a moot point. Even with a new qt treatment is done in 3 days, we'll before ammonia could build up enough to be harmful.

I agree, he's moving about like nothing is wrong but he's so extended I don't think he'll make it 3 days. Still spry enough to play keep away though

I'm in the stone ages with a canister filter so no protein skimmer. Tried a hang on but too many microbubbles

Then try the prazipro. It atleast gives a chance.

I might post on the national boards as well. It might be to much to kill all the parasites at once, may need a light dose at first then ramp it up.
