Important tip when glueing PVC-ABS

I was advised to use all purpose cement for PVC-ABS connections. However with this product it is very important to shake it very well before use, also if it turns jelly like do not use! I have had two leaks already. I'll be using regular cement from now on.

Haven't seen a lot of striped bass here. Probably only caught them two years out of 30years of fishing. I always figured they were lost and took a wrong turn somewhere.

Same here I always figure they get to Tampa and say "Dang if it's gonna get any worse I'm going back" and make the left turn toward Mexico.

On the flats between Pace and Pensacola you can do pretty good towards the end of the year. Got a few little marsh islands that I go to.

I figured out there if you keep the shrimp in the top 2 feet of water you get striped bass, if it gets to the bottom 2 feet you're on the redfish.

They must stay over near Pensacola then. The few I have caught have always been in the sound just east of hurlburt and generally when fishing for trout and redfish. It would be nice if we could get big runs of them. They are good fighters. Never ate one though.

They make GREAT fish sandwiches. Your favorite coating (beer batter for me) pan or deep fry. A little tartar sauce and some shredded lettuce, maybe a couple of pickles or slice of matter.

I've caught them a few times where the Simpson River pier is. I haven't fished that area but once since they put in the pier.

That fish was from Maryland! And when they run good they are fat as hell and 50 inches is a good size. My favorite is stuffed rock. It's a inch thick piece of rock on top of potatoes and onion celery and mushrooms. With a mix of lump crabmeat imperial on top with all kinds of peppers and spices!

Sorry man. Been swamped with work, traveling and getting ready for Talladega. Maybe I will post you a pic from there.

c6184860f31335344c4ffc65368f8caf.jpg here's random. Picked up this lil guy 4 miles out in the gulf. He was a bit water logged. I let him dry off on the front of the yak while I finished fishing, then put him off in the grass when I came in. Seemed much happier.
