With two adjustments the stand works good. It worked the best at 3.5 inches tall. And while it was being installed I took the time to clean the spot it was sitting in as well as a quick clean of the skimmer

By the time you buy the solvent and the plexi that price is not bad really. I looked at those stands and they are well built. Personally I like the stand Aaron built. Simple yet effective.

I personally like that I still get good flow under and around the stand so it doesn't become stagnate. 9f6f751e98f2d1cc46efac9244847d55.jpg

The Marinepure gets flow from all around. 15$ for materials, about 15 min to craft. Surprisingly strong also.

Btw I priced the glass to make the sump and it's 245 dollars for 1/4 inch glass. Is this thick enough? And does that seem a fair price? It's 48 by 22 and 18.5 tall

I am not the one to ask about that but where did you get your quote? Pensacola was probably 30% cheaper than the glass places in fwb

Mine is 1/4 inch and I would think yours would be fine but might depend on design. If you will have glass going across the length to lend structural integrity I would think it would be good.

Degan is the one with the most experience with this as far as I know. He would be the one to ask for sure

Degan is the one that could tell you off the top of his head if 1/4 inch is thick enough. I've gotta look it up. Your dimensions would make the max volume 84 gallon. With it being a sump, and baffles helping the support, 1/4 in should work. I personally would be more comfortable with 9mm or 3/8 inch. If it was a display tank I wouldn't go with less than 13mm or 1/2 inch, but happier with 3/4 inch

If they are affordable you don't want that trash send them to me. I'll set them straight, yea that's right I'll set them what they should be selling them for.

Trent I would like to give them a try! So why don't you give me the cash for them and I will test them in my tank for a bit and if they work good I will buy some and give you yours back! I am a slow tester so thinking a year should be a good test period!

It's 400 for a new 60 and 200 for a very lightly used 40

The 60 is a beast, I wouldn't even try one on a tank less than 5', probably 6'. The 40 is a great size for most common tanks.

Depends on the version of each. I have 2 40's and love them. There would be no way I would even try a 60 on mine. I would have to dial it down which would be pointless.

If the 40 has the newer wet side, I would jump on that btw.
