2/14 Met A New Girl On Valentines Day

Recommended Posts

Very nice. I have never fished them this time of year, would have thought most would be further off shore with most of the fish. I look forward to getting back out there when it warms up. I know you told me previously you had just gotten a 50w. What was the rest of your set up?

Well I guess you don't know how to tell the difference in sexes on sharks.  Picture 2 shows claspers - which indicates a male shark.

I don't know if you are a catch and release guy but stressing any kind of animal out should be considered cruelty.  How would you like to be held underwater and not being able to breath just to have someone take your picture?  Sport - nonscense - a hungry animal will always go after food.  Try using no bait - that would be sporting and you wouldn't have a chance.

I have brought more than one shark in the boat with me with plenty of room for me to keep away and had some close calls. Not bringing one in the kayak. Had more than on up close but I think I will stick to bringing them to the beach. Seems li,e we have several kayakers here. We should try to get a trip together. I usually end up by myself so I don't spend much of any time in gulf because of it.

If we have enough left over from our return I'm getting my wife an i one. But those 2 person fishing kayaks are expensive. Who wants to see my wife's head explode? I'm gonna tell her she can either have a protein skimmer for the 90g or a fishing kayak. Talking total melt down. Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, and Fukushima will look like a leaked "D" cell battery in comparison.

Trent the expensive ones are nice but don't feel the need to break the bank. I actually saw one last year in SAMs that looked ok and was a third what mine cost and mine were cheap if you have only looked at hobies.

Trent that's just wrong... Lol. If y'all want to borrow a cheap one to try I have a 10' and an 11 1/2' pelican that I use for bait runners. Y'all could use em for a while and see what features present or missing matter to you.

My problem is the floatation is an issue with me being 240lbs. In the end I prefer my kayaks around 18-20' with about 140 horses. :D
