  1. Hope to see everyone there. Looking forward to seeing the shop again. Richard
  2. Hey everyone hope you can make it out and meet up at the SBReef's Grand Reopening Saturday at 11 am. Not an official club function but a great way to get together and chat and support one of our local businesses. Mike posted a seperate thread with details about raffles, food and specials. Hope to see a bunch of you there and catch up. Richard

  4. I know I had alarms going off all night one of which was a take shelter alarm so it was probably from that tornado.
  5. Hopefully everyone made it through Cindy without any outages. Had quite a bit of rain here in FWB with some gusts here and there but nothing major. You Pensacola guys were closer so hope no one had any issues. Richard
  6. Yeah I guess I knew that you could feed adults frozen food but even that is a big commitment at twice a day. I like to travel too much and need a setup I can put on a monitored auto pilot. Rich Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I always wanted to do seahorses but it was always just more work than I was willing to invest. The feeding issue is the biggest for me. I want to be able to go out of town and not have to have someone come over and feed them live food. Totally cool if you can figure out how to fit it in your schedule. Richard
  8. Sorry we have not had a club meeting in a while. Life is still hectic for me after if got turned upside down so I have not been able to focus. While there is nothing official planned we have been invited to share in the grand reopening of SB Reefs after their move. Mike plans to feed all that come plus he is having raffles that he will be offering bonus tickets to club members. I will post the details later today and hope to see you there if you can make it. I will work on getting something official together in the near future. Richard Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I received my two for one order just as expected. They pack really well and there were lots of little bugs in he bag. Hard to verify the number of course but product looks good and I dumped it all in the new tank so will see how it goes. Richard Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. We never ended up doing this group buy. The guys at algae barn were very responsive and they offered up some prices I thought were fair for large quantities but only caveat was they would be bulk packed and not broken into individual sizes for each person so we would have had to come up with a way to separate and with pods being the size they are I thought that darn near impossible. I know I just want ordered their new user two for one and will post when it comes in what I think about it. I think someone else just posted about doing it as well. 11. I did the same thing with my glass for my sump but luckily I was big so I just had to pay a little extra to cut it down. If you need aluminum welding look for a place that works on props from boats. The prop shop over here in FWB was always very reasonable especially if could wait a day or two till they were working on another aluminum job so didn't have to drag equipment out twice Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I just built a filter for my sink. I used two standard cartridge holders and put a micron(cannot remember what size) then a carbon block for drinking water. And water flows through so no need for reservoir and I have it hooked to a spigot like in above pictures just for drinking water. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Yes I have my 6 running at a 4 power right now and I think I like the amount of flow going through my sump. There is a noticeable difference between settings so you have a lot of variability and do t have to run the pump wide open. Richard Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. That is just an RO filter which will definitely help but most of use DI as well to bring the tds all the way to zero. I don't know the quality of the membrane that is included with that unit but even the ones we use only take out 85 to 95% of the tds depending on the set up and the amount in the source water. I know that air water ice and a couple others have units that have the under sink reservoirs as well as the DI. You might save money in the long run buying a better unit up front then trying to dr up one that was designed for drinking water. Richard Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. That's huge if it's a majano. Though honestly that was my first thought as well on a couple of this pics. Not sure I am sold on the last pics being them though. If they are majano they spread like aptasia. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
