  1. Curb pick up bowfront project (finally started)

Finally got the tank wet this evening after a little bit of plumbing. experimenting with a massive siphon break return. it legitimately gets a half a quart of back flow when the pump turns off. some of the plumbing is improv at the moment until I get to do a little tweaking modified the canopy slightly, might continue modifying or pull together a new design altogether. 2. Almost 2 years after picking this up free off of a curb from a fellow for member I am getting it started. tank needed a good soaking cleaning in the seams need to be redone stand is getting a redesign to be a little more functional for me. also a sump that I picked up from another fellow forum member that needed a massive hole in the side patched from previous external plumbing now has a thick piece of acrylic welded in place I will try to keep posted as progress comes. Yeah if ya goop it on it can promote a leak. But if ya spread it thin and let it skin over for about 10 minuets it has worked well for me. And filled the gap between bulkhead threads and glass. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve had a set leak on me before and the holes in the tank weren’t perfect either. Just an overkill preventative measure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. Curb pick up bowfront project (finally started)

  11. Sealing plywood

So I tried this one coat stuff today, goes on like Elmer’s glue, I wouldn’t use it if the temp is under 110 out side. Went back to old faithful fast dry Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Sealing plywood

Good interior poly is still $10-14 a quart anyways. Mays as well use what ya know works Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So when you can’t decide on a stain color and decide to flip a coin this is what happens... The color will actually work with a few other projects we are playing with and I was able to leave some of the stands old character in it. A little more paint for the inner section still to come. 16. I have Officially Lost my Mind, 240 Build

I used garage door insulation under my 200 that did not have a frame just bare glass on the bottom. Lowes or Home Depot had it pretty cheap, you just have to hide the bright blue 3/4” foam at the side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Curb pick up bowfront project (finally started)

Added in extension to the back to be able to fit a larger ATO. Added a brace across back for higher power bar location. Filled in with some wood filler, did some sanding and played with some stain on some knot areas to see how they come out for another project. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Curb pick up bowfront project (finally started)

Yeah 95% done, good enough to start playing with tanks again. before during repair lightning coming through copper pipe gutted dining room (the reason the 200 gallon come down) 95% complete. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. 200 gallon resurrection (take 2)

So a lil while back I picked up a 200 from water world that had a leak. Tore it down and rebuilt/resealed it. I ran it for a Lil over a year with different tenets. After recent lightning causing water damage from a burst water pipe, that area of flooring needed to come out so it is empty and stored in a garage for the moment. Room is empty. Popcorn for removed wall, and new paint coming this week. After new tile we will see how it goes back in. I will update as progress it comes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Possible 125 tear down

Lightning strike busted a water pipe in foundation of house. Looking at some heavy construction possibly. Pending drop cloth won't secure room from concrete dust and so on might be better off doing a full pull down. 4 clowns, 2 cardinals, fire fish, stars, clean up crew and so on. Tank running over 2 years now. Probably 40 or so pieces of coral, from leathers, to purple fuzzy mushrooms with green tips, zoas, chalice, montis, yumas and so on. Might have to act soon once insurance adjuster nails down a plan. Gauging interest and or recommendations. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Possible 125 tear down

Thanks. Got the bulk of demo done now. The 200 had to come down in the other room due to the floor under it getting replaced. The 125 will get redone after the kitchen is finished. Managed to get by with drop cloths. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  24. At a loss - QT

That's rough, and just my 2 cents , a damsel may not be the best Canary. I've seen them live in 2" of water with no filter, circulation or heat for a week (basically a salty puddle) and be just fine. (By accident ofcourse) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
