Sorry to hear about the troubles :(
On a different note, I love my MP40 on my 25g seagrass system. I have it on 80% and while the flow volume is high, velocity is not. Perfect for bulk water movement. I do think the MP40s are better suited for larger tanks not because of the flow volume, but because the small distance actually decreases overall water movement. This is why it seems like overkill to have a Tunze nanostream in addition to the MP40 in an 18" cube.

Roger,
I've gotten some quotes on glass for my project but so far I'm not finding anyone with a quote comparable to your quote. My plans are for a 36x36x24 with one panel of Low iron. The lowest quote I've gotten so far was 563.00 including tax. I wanted to go with 3 sides low iron but that added about 175 to the price. I'm thinking about calling Emerald Glass Protection to get a quote and just drive over there to get it. Is there anyone in particular that you talked to about your order? Some of the places I have called so far have no idea about cutting glass for aquariums. Also did you put any foam under your aquarium? I am getting conflicting opinions on this I see that some manufacturers say you have to, some don't. Even some hobbyists dont agree on whether it is needed or not.

Yes, Daryl. The owners name is Brent. Very nice guy. On the grinding just remind that it's for an aquarium. Oly th edges are ground, not the whole thickness surface.
I don't know if you will eurobrace it or not. Turned out those pieces were a substantial portion of the total, as there is a minimum cut cost and they were small pieces that cost nearly as much as a pane. Knowing that now I might have gone an extra thickness and went rimless. Would require comparing the differences though.
Yea, glass places have big variations in prices. Not sure why. Emeralds quality was high to me.
Before you offer to drive over to get it, inquire if they come your way. They do business all over the coast as their main business is shower doors, which is how we originally found them, getting one designed and installed.
I did not put foam under this tank nor have I put it under many. My sump had it originally but I took it out when I moved it for this tank.
Good luck with it. It's taken a bit longer than I would have hoped, mostly due to errors on my part, cutting the wrong glass holes. Tworst has been the loss of several colonies, which I still don't know why. I've got the skeleton on a "purple Idaho grape Montipora cap" on display to remind me of how fragile these guys can be. In the center of the skeleton is a small square fragging tile, where it first started. Grew to more than 10" square. I found a small frag I'd broken off when removing it from the dilay tank so it still survives, hope I can bring it back the "hard way"!
Now I've got to get some pictures out. I've put a lot of corals in the tank, but only 3 neon gobies and the watchman goby/tiger shrimp pair, who all seem to be doing fine.

Stocking commences. Migrating but not completely placed yet.

The front viewing pane inwall, which I paid an extra $100 for starfire glass, I haven't been able to see through due to the 150 tank being in the way. There is on more colony coral that has to be removed along with the water and remaining rock before it can be moved so I can see the front of the tank! I only have tomorrow afternoon to do anything to it due to my daughter graduating from university on Wednesday in Mississippi so we will be travelling over there on Tuesday. Hopefully by the weekend or next week it will be move and the tank aquascaped. All the lights are on it but there are still a bunch of coral to figure out how to place. Some big colonies will be showing up at Matt's this week, including a Turbinaria reniformis nearly the size of a dinner plate because I just don't have any room for it!
Soon though a party will be given with everyone invited.
